PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Alberta Plywood, High Prairie Forest Products and Slave Lake Pulp Corporation - Divisions of West Fraser Mills Ltd. are seeking approval from Alberta Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to conduct herbicide operations using Glyphosate. This program is intended to control the vegetative competition which inhibits conifer reforestation efforts. We have split our program into two operations-- an aerial and a ground program. The total anticipated area of treatment for the two programs is approximately 8,200 hectares. The aerial program is expected to be carried out between August 10th and September 15th, 2017, treating a maximum of 7,660 hectares. The ground program will be carried out between August 1st and September 15th, 2017 to treat 540 hectares.
